Jane F. Albers

Jane F. Albers, 90, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born August 21, 1926, in St. Louis, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017, in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Jane was a loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her family especially traveling extensively with her husband Fred. She retired from the state of Missouri as a social worker. Jane was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville, Ill. In her spare time she liked to golf and play bridge with friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Blanche, nee Garrigan, Sly; brother, Jack Sly.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Fred Albers, whom she married May 3, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo.; her children, Susie (Britt) Parnell of Tulsa, Ok., Fred (Kristi) Albers of El Paso, Tx., John Albers of Lebanon, Ill.; her grandchildren, Sally, Katy, Kellie, Jay and Austin; her great grandchild Emma Jene.

A memorial mass for Jane will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Edwardsville, Ill. with Father Jeff Goeckner officiating.
