Janet Carmen St. Pierre, nee Turcott, 92, formerly of Caseyville, Ill., born March 9, 1920, in East St. Louis, Ill., died on Monday, June 4, 2012, in Elmhurst, Ill.



Janet was a retired nurse and had worked at the former Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill. Along with her church membership Janet was active with the food pantry and Laurel Circle.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. St. Pierre; parents, Benjamin and Nellie, nee Kent, Turcott; brothers and sister, Leslie Turcott and Benjamin Turcott Jr., and Beverly Schneider.



Surviving are her children, Sandra (Michael) Downs of Oak Park, Ill., Susan (Dr. Rene) St. Leger of Creve Coeur, Mo., and Kent St. Pierre of Lincoln University, Pa.; grandchildren, Brant, Zachary, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Josh; great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Christian; and her sister, Jeane Stanley of Edwardsville, Ill.
