Jeanette A. Swip

Jeanette A. Swip, 90, a lifelong resident of Collinsville, Ill., born September 28, 1927, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Jeanette was a dedicated and caring nurse, she began her career at St. Mary''s Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill., before retiring as a nurse from Monsanto. Her dedication went beyond her professional life as she was also a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Loretta, nee Welle, Swip; her sisters with their husbands, Marilyn (Joseph) Bruns, Helen (Bernard) Bruns; her brothers, William Swip Jr. and Thomas Swip; her two nephews.

Surviving are her sisters in law, Mary Ann Swip and JoAnn Swip; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father John Beveridge officiating. Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
