Jeanne Piesbergen, nee Soehlke, 65, of Caseyville, Ill, born October 14, 1946, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, December 12, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.



Jeanne graduated from Collinsville High School in 1964 and earned her nursing degree from the former Belleville Junior College. Jeanne first worked at the former Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis in the pediatric department, and in 1970 she began working in the obstetrics department at Memorial Hospital in Belleville until her retirement. She served on the Collinsville Unit 10 School Board for 20 years and also served as board president for 2 years. Jeanne was designated a Master School Board Member by the Illinois Association of School Boards.



Jeanne was a life-long member of St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ in Collinsville. She was very active in the church, having participated in the Sanctuary Choir, Handbell Choir, several committees and trustee of the Church Council.



She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Soehlke, and brother, Alan Soehlke.



Surviving are her loving husband, Jack Piesbergen, of Caseyville, Ill., whom she married on November 21, 1969; daughters, Julie (Matt) Tettaton of Caseyville, Ill.; Jennifer (P.J.) Arnotti of Collinsville, Ill.; Jill (Chad) Champion of Edwardsville, Ill.; Jacki (Wil) Ledbetter of Ferguson, Mo.; grandchildren, Jack, Austin, Gabrielle and Dustin Tettaton; Isabella and Nicolas Arnotti; Claire Champion; Eliza Ledbetter; mother, Stella Mae, nee Giles, Soehlke; sisters, Mary Jane Soehlke and Elizabeth (Jon) Bancroft; brother-in-law, Jim (Mary) Piesbergen; sister-in-law, Joan Soehlke; best friend, Linda Paarlberg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at St. John Evangelical United Church of Christ in Collinsville, Ill., with Pastor Tony Minear officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
