Jeffrey Jay Shelton, 63, of Wood River, Ill., formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born Sept. 1, 1948, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 10:17 a.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Shelton was an avid sports fan especially enjoying the Cardinals and the Rams. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen, nee Wolf, Shelton; and a nephew, Robert Shelton.
Surviving are his wife, Scherry, nee Huston, Shelton of Wood River, Ill.; sons, Dale (Dana) Weston of South Roxanna, Ill., and Robert Weston of Kent, Wash.; grandchildren, Trent, Tanner, Aaron and Brei; father, Robert Shelton of Collinsville, Ill.; sister Cindy (C.J.) Hopper of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Curt (Belinda) Shelton of Collinsville, Ill.; niece, Kimberly (Lawrence) Jackson of Collinsville, Ill.; and special pet "Buddy."
