Jesse A. King, 78, of Collinsville died at 8:05 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at his home.
He was born June 27, 1933 in Edwardsville, the son of the late Arthur and Captola (Row) King. He married Doris Jane (Whitney) King on Oct. 13, 1951. She survives.
Jesse was retired from Teamster Local #525. He owned King's Trucking and was part-owner of King's Service in Maryville.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Debra (Rod) Richardson, of Simpsonville, Ky., Cherri Schrauth and Penny Cleveland, both of Collinsville; four sons, Wade (Patty) King of Collinsville, Larry (Sandi) King of New Douglas, Ill., Terry (Lynn) King Sr. of Collinsville and Jesse King of Sawyerville, Ill.; three brothers, Jack (Edna) King, Gene (Carol) King and Darrell (Patti) King; two sisters, Shirley (Walter) Ehrat and Sharon (Frank) Zoeller; and three sisters-in-law: Margie King, Bonnie Lou Gibson and Judy K. Tosh.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Delore King.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 18, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive on Route 157, Glen Carbon, Ill., 62034.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Wright officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon.
