Jimmy L. Mills Sr., of Collinsville, Illinois, formerly of Kentucky, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois.

Born and raised in Kentucky, Jimmy lived a life defined by dedication, hard work, and love for family. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Marine Corps before beginning a long and successful career with McDonnell Douglas/Boeing, where he retired as an Expediter.

Jimmy will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and love of the outdoors. He found great joy in camping, fishing, and bowling, and cherished time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Deanna B. Mills; his sons, Jimmy L. Mills Jr. and Timothy "Arty" Mills; his stepdaughter, Serena Hunter; and his stepson, Gene Garcia Jr. He was preceded in death by his son, Robin Mills.

Jimmy's memory will live on through his grandchildren: Timothy "TJ" Mills, Michael Mills, Derek Mills, Garry Mills, Alicia Mills, Jessica Garcia, and Ryan Garcia, and he is reunited in peace with his late grandson, Tony Mills. He is also survived by his brother, Oscar "Buddy" Mills, along with five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jimmy's legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will continue to shine through the lives of those who knew him.
