Joan D. Bailey, nee Gerling, 58, of Maryville, Ill., born July 17, 1953, in Illinois died at 3:55 a.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.



Mrs. Bailey had worked for Anderson Hospital for more than 15 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hamel, Ill.



Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Arlyn and Arlene, nee Hecht, Gerling.



Surviving are her husband, Robert Bailey of Maryville, Ill.; daughters, Katherine Bailey of Maryville, Ill., and Claire Bailey-Johnson (Aaron) of Bethalto, Ill.; and sisters, Karen Gerling and Brenda Brown.

Private family burial was held. There will be a Memorial Service celebrating her life at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hamel Ill.
