COLLINSVILLE, IL- Joan D. Dotson-Bunton, 68, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 4:05 A.M. at her residence.

Joan was born in Portageville, MO to Elmer and Edith (Hooper) Dotson. Joan married Kenneth Bunton in Las Vegas, NV in October 12, 1985. He survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving are her two children, Michael (Wendy) Fitzpatrick in Crestwood, MO and Erica Baird of Collinsville, IL; and grandchildren, Ayden, Elysien, Zebulen, and Maya; sister, Donna (Charles) Dotson London of Edwardsville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marjorie Becker, her brother, Elmer Dotson, Jr., and her brother-in-law, David Becker.

Joan worked as a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and working on word puzzles in her free time. She loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements.
