John W. Biggers, 94, of Collinsville, IL., passed away at his home in the company of his family on the evening of September 27, 2022. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Biggers, nee Gordon, as well as his parents, Frank and Inda (Anderson) Biggers. Surviving him is his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Maria Biggers of Collinsville, IL.

Throughout his life, John was very involved in his community. After serving in the Navy at the end of World War II, he became a member of the Freemasons, the Shriner's, and the Meadow Heights Baptist Church. He even served as former president of the Collinsville Kiwanis Club and, later, of the Collinsville Lion's Club. He loved to play golf with his friends on the weekend. John also loved vacationing at his favorite spot; Edisto Beach, South Carolina, and would promote it to anyone who would listen.

The visitation for Mr. Biggers will be held at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held the next day at 12 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Meadow Heights Baptist Church in Collinsville. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL at 1:30 pm on the 1st.
