John H. Fifer Jr., 71, born on July 10, 1949, in Highland, IL, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020, at his home in Edwardsville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. Fifer Sr. and Elizabeth Fifer nee Prater, his brother, Willie D. Fifer, and his sister, Felicia Fifer.

John is survived by his sisters, Josephine Taggart, Fay Fifer, LuAnn Anderson, and Rachel Fifer, his brothers, George Fifer and David Fifer, and many cherished nieces, nephews, and close friends.

John, better known as Boot, was a loving son, a caring big brother, a doting uncle, and a good friend; he will be truly missed by his family and friends.
