John Finke

John Patrick Finke, 50, of Collinsville, Ill., born in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Finke.

Surviving are his wife, Sherri, nee Scrum, Finke, whom he married Nov. 18, 1994; his mother, Sharon, nee Sorenson, Finke of Troy, Ill.; daughter, Shena Brock of St. Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Shellby, Aubrey and Amber; brothers, Robert Finke of Madison, Ill., David Finke of Troy, Ill.; sister, Christine (Don) McClarin of Virginia Beach, Va.

John was uncle and Godfather to Gabrielle McClarin, Clayton, Abigail and Kyle Snell, & uncle to Curtis and Cori McClarin, Samantha Finke.

John was a fun loving person and role model who loved his wife and family. He was a devoted member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville, Ill. An avid sports fan he enjoyed all sports especially Cardinals baseball, Blues hockey and Billiken basketball.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at First United Presbyterian Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Jeff Young officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
