John "Bud" Parker

John "Bud" Parker, 82, of Collinsville, IL., born January 12, 1936, in Medora, IL., passed away at home surrounded by his loving family Thursday, April 26, 2018.

For thirty years Bud was the owner and operator of Bud's Trailer Repair.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Maryville, IL. and the Collinsville American Legion Post # 365.  He loved spending time with his family and had a passion for woodworking.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Earl and Laura, nee Barker, Parker; his sisters, Maxine Dunning, Ruth Rule and Louise Schiff.

Surviving are his loving wife Martha, nee Detto, Parker of Collinsville, IL.; his sons, Jeffrey (Julie) Parker of Collinsville, IL., Brian Parker of Okawville, IL.; his daughter Helen Parker of Collinsville, IL.; his five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials in honor of John may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and can be received at Herr Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be expressed through this online guestbook.

Visitation:  Friends may visit with the family 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.

Funeral:  Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL., with Rev. Ron Habermehl officiating.  Burial with full military honors will follow the service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
