John Pope

John Pope, 62, of Collinsville, Ill., born Nov. 10, 1954, died Jan. 27, 2017.

John was a lifelong member of the Caseyville Moose Lodge. He was a volunteer fire fighter for the Village of Caseyville for over 20 years.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. Pope and Betty M. Bynum.

He leaves behind his wife Lynda; 2 stepsons, Jason (Shannon McCanless) Wilson and Jeremy (Jessica) Wilson; step-grandchildren, Connor, Sierra, Hunter, Sadey, Savannah, Camden, Dylan and Katelyn; brother, Terry (Gail) Pope; sisters-in-law, Michele (Brad) Bigings, Cheri Hardin and Denise Frank; brothers-in-law, Stephen (Tammie) Niemeier and Gregg (Sherry) Niemeier; also surviving are many nieces, nephews and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association and can be received at the funeral home. Condolences can be expressed to the family through this online guestbook.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.
