John M. Williams. 91, of Granite City, IL., born July 7, 1927, in Alton, IL., passed away on July 19, 2018, in Granite City, IL.
John adored his three grandchildren and his great grandchild and recently was pleased to learn that he had become a great-great grandfather. He retired as a welder form Illinois Power Company. He valiantly served his country in the U.S Navy during WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma, nee Hittle, Williams; his daughter Jacque Lynn Williams; his brothers, brothers Elkin Dale Williams and Jimmie Anton Williams.
He is survived by his dear wife Lina, nee Witcher, Williams; his children, Wanda (Bob) Ponder of Granite City, IL., James M. Williams of Mitchell, IL.
All services to be private with condolences expressed to the family through this online guestbook.
