Johnny D. Adams, 57, of Granite City, Ill., born Feb. 15, 1955, in St. Louis, Mo., died at 2:46 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, in Granite City, Ill.



Mr. Adams loved sports of all kinds and was very active in his younger years. He loved NASCAR racing, the Blues, the Cardinals and the Rams.



Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Erma A., nee Patterson, Adams; and a brother, Michael E. Adams.



Surviving are his father, John Adams of Granite City, Ill.; and his sisters, Linda Sutphin of Granite City, Ill., Joyce (Dennis) Wickham of Granite City, Ill., Carolyn Sander of Wood River, Ill., Cathy Adams of Mitchell, Ill., and Sandy (William) Higgins of Mitchell, Ill.
