Joy Ann Edgeworth, 62, of Collinsville, IL, passed away at her residence on July 23rd, 2026. She was born in Houston, Texas, on November 5th, 1963, to parents, Howard and Gloria Turner.

After earning her cosmetology license, Joy owned and operated The Cuttery in Troy, IL. When she wasn't busy cutting and styling hair, she could be found listening to good ole country music, playing cards (often times with her grandchildren), loving on her dogs, Polo and Saki - before she sadly passed away, or hanging out at the Troy VFW where she was always known to have a good time. Joy loved her friends from the VFW dearly and her presence will be deeply missed.

Preceding Joy in death are her parents, Howard and Gloria Turner, nee Ankrom; husband, Robert Edgeworth; and daughter, Melissa Hoppe. Her survivors include her brother, brother, Ken (Deann) Turner; daughter, Ashley Esmon; grandchildren Jake and Eloise as well as other grandchildren shared with her husband; 22 great grandchildren; three nieces; as well as many more extended family members and cherished friends.

A public visitation will be held from the chapel of Sunset Hill Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30th, 2026, from 10:00 am until the hour of service at 11:00. Interment will immediately follow the service in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be made to the Metro East Humane Society.
