Mrs. Joyce Ann Franklin (nee Runnalls), 91, of Troy, IL., born May 3, 1933, in E. St. Louis, IL., passed Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Joyce was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, who cherished her family, her church, Trinity Lutheran Church of Edwardsville, where she was a member and active in the Ladies Aid Organization. Joyce enjoyed reading, traveling with family, spending time with grandkids and family, and sharing her Faith with others. Joyce had a love of music, singing and playing the piano. She was proud of her heritage with her paternal ancestors who homesteaded in Nebraska and Montana and her maternal ancestors settling in the Bootheel of Missouri.

Predeceased in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Ralph Albert Franklin and survived by her sons, Ralph (Susan) Franklin of Republic, MO, Randall (Vicki) Franklin of Ashland, VA, Scott (Belinda) Franklin of Edwardsville, IL, Bruce (Kristi) Franklin of Riverton,
IL, Craig (Mary) Franklin of Duluth, GA, and her daughters, Karen (Tom) Leyden of Columbia, MO, Yvonne (Paul) Schutz of Edwardsville, IL, Cheryl (Robert) Garcia of Edwardsville, IL, Andrea (William) Shaw of Troy, IL, Deborah Eck of Edwardsville, IL.

Joyce is also survived by her sisters, Yvonne (James) Haas of Houston, TX, Sharon Wise of Collinsville, IL, and brother Tim (Linda) Runnalls of St. Louis, MO.

Joyce was a loving grandmother of Jennifer Singleton, Tom Leyden, Michael Leyden, Jamie Havicon, Joshua Schutz, Stacy Cann, Caleb Franklin, Shelley McKenney, Emily Middleton, Anthony Vullo, Nicholas Vullo, Adam Shaw, Eric Shaw, Scott Franklin, Jr., Stefanie Franklin, Bruce Franklin, Jr., Adam Franklin, Rebecca Lairson, William Eck, Andrea Franklin and Joanna Franklin, Joyce was also blessed with many great-grandchildren, a greatgreat grandson, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Matilda Runnalls (nee Miller)

Friends and family may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL.

Services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, July 15, 2024 from the chapel of Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL with Reverend Jess Biermann officiating.
