June Marie Drew

June Marie Drew, 92, St. Louis, Mo., born June 10, 1924, in Granite City, Ill., received her heavenly reward Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, in Clayton, Mo.

June was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and a dear friend to many. She enjoyed music and social dancing along with her family''s activities especially her grandson Drew''s. June graduated in the January Class of 1941, from Granite City High School. After graduating she joined in the war effort working in a hospital in Santa Barbara, Cal. After the war she returned home and began employment at Westinghouse Electric and then the Department of Defense in St. Louis, Mo. where she retired as an office administrator. She was a long time member of St. Elizabeth''s Catholic Church in Granite City, Ill., and St. Raphael in St. Louis, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine, nee Koehler, Rapp; sister and brother in law, Laverne (Russell) LaRose.

Surviving are her children, Nancy (Eric Wall) Drew of Licking, Mo., Patricia Schaffner of St. Louis, Mo., William B (Andrea Ercole) Drew Jr. of Chatsworth, Cal.; grandson, Drew Shaffner of Chicago, Ill., special friend, Wally Gastereich.

Funeral: Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill. Burial will Follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
