Katherine M. Bright, 84, of Collinsville, IL, died Friday, January 8th, 2016 in Collinsville. She was born Wednesday, October 7th, 1931 in Collinsville to John and Mary (Jedda) Savoia. She married Leroy Bright May 27th, 1950 in Arkansas.

Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Stephen Bright and one brother, Robert Savoia.

She is survived by one son, John (Yvonne) Bright of Collinsville, IL, and one grandson, Jason Bright.

Katherine was a Nurses Aid at Christian Welfare Hospital in 1947 and then went on to St. Elizabeth''s Hospital until graduation in 1949. She later worked as a Nurses Aid at Collinsville High School, a Custodian for Unit #10 and also cleaned Zeppetella''s Restaurant.

Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL. with Memorial Service starting at 7:00 pm.

Interment of cremation will be private.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, the Salvation Army or to the Donor''s Choice.
