Kathryn Sue Brown (nee Quinn)
passed away on  Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 90, at Stillwater Senior Living Facility in
Edwardsville, IL.
Dear wife to her late husband, Leo Brown, who preceded her in death in 2010. Dearest mother
of Dan (Laurie) Brown of Maryville, IL, Cathy Brown of Dublin, CA, Pam Lawrence of St. Peters,
MO. Cherished grandmother of Jenn Brown; Ryan and Nicholas Seithel; Katie Turner; and Matt
Lawrence. Dearest great-grandmother of Levi Brown; Lilly and Luca Turner.
Kate and her late husband were proud lifelong members of the Genesian Players of Spanish
Lake, MO.
Kate was also a long time coach of girls volleyball at St. Aloysius Parish of Spanish Lake, MO
and led a team of 8th grade girls to a CYC city/county championship in February, 1967.
Kate will always be remembered for her passion of gardening and for her beautiful flower
gardens.
Kate also enjoyed attending and serving at Metro Community Church in Edwardsville, IL.
Services: Visitation at SUNSET HILLS Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL, on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
until time of Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m.
Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Condolences may be
