Katie Leffler, 41, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025.

Katie spent her younger years enjoying life outdoors - whether it be camping, boating, digging up old bottles to add to her collection, or finding deer antlers. More than anything though, she enjoyed spending time with her two boys, Bishop and Waylon.

She enjoyed exploring with her boys, car karaoke, and loved anything decoratively "pineapple" or "frog".  From toddler years on, she loved picking up odd small creatures to make her mother cringe.

Katie was preceded in death by her grandparents. Those surviving and left to mourn her are her parents, Nicholas Thiel and Marilyn McKinney, her sister Laurie (Daniel) Mercer and Katie's aforementioned children. Katie is also survived by her three nieces and other extended family members.

A private celebration of life service will be planned for a later date.
