Keith A. Grady, 64, of Union, MO and formerly of Granite City, IL passed away Sunday, January 5th at his home in Union, MO with his family.

He was born January 28th, 1960 in Granite City, IL, son of Tom and Melba (Williams) Grady.

Keith grew up loving to play street hockey, basketball, softball and wiffle ball. Keith learned how to play golf by his next-door neighbor and all of his neighbors were like family to him.

Keith graduated from Granite City High School in 1981.

He worked at the Adams Mark Hotel in St. Louis for 21 years. He had great work ethic proven by the fact that he never missed a day of work and received numerous awards.

Keith was known as "Bluegill" by his family, especially all of his nieces and nephews. He was proud that he taught them how to fish at a young age. Keith loved the 30+ trips to Lazy Lee's resort.

During his battle with cancer, Keith remained thankful. He often thanked God for good food to eat, water to drink and a nice house to live in.

Keith is survived by his parents, Tom and Melba Grady, sister Debbie (Mike) Braciak, twin brother Kevin Grady, sister Melanie (Joe) Schnefke, 3 nephews, 4 nieces, 3 great-nephews, and 5 great-nieces who he referred to as his grandchildren.

Keith was preceded in death by his Uncle Frank (Bud) Grady, and his grandparents.

Funeral services for Keith will be held at 11:30 am, January 17, 2025 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon, Illinois.

Family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Coordinated Youth, St. John's United Church of Christ and Grace Church East in Granite City .
