Kenny was a 1950 Collinsville High School graduate. He served in the Navy Air during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1956. He retired from Union Electric (Ameren) as a Maintenance Supervisor after having been a Certified Welder for many years.
He married the love of his life, Gloria “Jonnie” Bluemner on November 12th, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida. Together they had two children, daughter, Cindy (Kent) Carson of O’Fallon, Illinois; son, Joel (Vicki) Bluemner of Collinsville, Illinois; two lovely granddaughters, Kari (Kyle) Morton, and Cassie Bluemner; as well as two great-grandchildren, Gatlin and Arleigh Morton.
Kenny enjoyed being with his family, telling jokes, and was well known for his quick wit. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to the church, friends, and family. Throughout his years, he had several hobbies including woodworking, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, bowling, and dancing. If Kenny didn’t know how to do something, he would teach himself how to do it.
