Kenneth Dale "Buffy" Howerton Jr., 51, of Bunker Hill, Ill., born Oct. 24, 1959, in Highland, Ill., died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Davies Community Hospital in Washington, Ind.



Mr. Howerton was a longtime concrete contractor and operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Dale and Marilyn, nee Gower, Howerton Sr.;



Surviving are his wife, Monica, nee Cates, Howerton of Bunker Hill, Ill., whom he married Dec. 22, 1988; daughters and son-in-law, Kristina and Bo Gresham of Brighton, Ill., and Kayla Howerton of Bunker Hill, Ill.; granddaughters, Brittany Gresham and Olivia Gresham, both of Brighton, Ill.; and sister, Kimberly Ardison of Granite City, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, Ill.



Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Disney officiating. He was to be cremated.
