Kenneth Lee Quinlan

Kenneth Lee Quinlan, born March 6, 1944 to Marie Catherine (nee Earnheart) Quinlan and Kenneth Wendell Quinlan, was called to his eternal rest on December 5, 2016 at the age of 72, while surrounded by his wife and children. He was born in Omaha, NE, but spent most of his life in Collinsville, IL. He graduated Collinsville High School in 1962. He had 4 children with his first wife Patricia A. (nee Best). He later married Patricia E. "Pat" (nee Guebert) in 2007.
Kenneth, also known as "Kenny Lee"," Ken" or "Q", was passionate about life. He loved new adventures and continued to stay active throughout his life. He loved the Lord first and foremost and he loved his family very much. He was an active member at Holy Cross where he served as a church elder for some time, participated in many volunteer activities throughout the years and raised his children at both the church and school. He worked as a technician for Southwestern Bell, then AT&T and retired as an active member of the Illinois Brotherhood of Electrical Workers chapter 309. He held a realtor''s license and was owner & manager of several apartment complexes.
Surviving are his loving wife Pat (Guebert), his four children, Michael (Kendra), Michelle, Melissa, Matthew, one stepson Eric Kruse; eight grandchildren, Parker, Isis, Madison, Jessica, Gabriel, Clara, McKenna, Lucas, one great grandchild Lennox, and one brother Paul David. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Joann, and brother-in-law Bob.
Ken was well known as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. A memorial service to celebrate Ken''s life will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 304 South Street, Collinsville, IL 62234 at 4 p.m. Family and friends may visit from 3-4p.m. There will be a light dinner served after the service in the church fellowship hall.
