Larry Eugene Brooks, 67, of Collinsville, Ill., born Monday, Jan. 27, 1947, in Doniphan, Mo., passed away at 8:28 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Larry was a welder for 30 years and retired from Granite City Steel. He was an avid and passionate fisherman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Irene, nee Smithson, Brooks.

Surviving are two daughters, Sonya (Jerry) Adams of Collinsville, Ill., and Tracey (Joel) Luedders of St. Jacob, Ill.; a son, Barrett (Mellissa) Brooks of Belleville, Ill.; grandchildren, Jonathan Adams, Christian Adams, Jacob Simpson, McKayla Brooks and Bianca Brooks; and his sister, Linda Jones of Collinsville, Ill.
