A kind, thoughtful and honest man has left this world behind. Larry James Huett of Collinsville, Ill. died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at his residence with his loved ones around him, after an 18 month fight against cancer.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., on Oct. 2, 1948, to Kenneth and Betty Lou Huett, Larry attended Granite City High School and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local One in St. Louis, Mo.
Larry enjoyed fishing and boating especially in the Current River. He was baptized in 1998 and was proud to be a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill.
Beloved husband, devoted father and faithful brother and friend, Larry will be missed by his wife, Sue; his daughter, Amy; and his brother, Andy. He is also survived by three nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen Memorial Fund, BJC Hospice Patient Fund or Siteman Cancer Research Center.
Visitation: The funeral vigil will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caseyville, Ill. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the church.
Friends may also call from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at the church.
Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at St. Stephen Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Schultz as principal celebrant and Bishop Edward K. Braxton will preside. Interment will be in Caseyville Cemetery in Caseyville, Ill.
