Laura June Phelps, nee Peck, 85, of Maryville, Ill., born June 10, 1928, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, January 20, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Beulah, nee Pogue, Peck; sons, Rayburn Phelps and David Phelps; sisters, Dorothy Long and Pauline Pennington; and a brother, Rayburn Peck.

Surviving are her husband, Clyde Wayne Phelps of Maryville, Ill., whom she married on December 10, 1944; son, Wayne (Vicki) Phelps of Maryville, Ill.; daughter-in-law, Dolores Phelps of Maryville, Ill.; grandchildren, Rayburn (Susan) Phelps, Randy Phelps, Jason (Heather) Phelps, Jennifer (Ryan) Richert; great grandchildren, Katelyn, Ashley, Dustin, Annabella, Cheyenne, Emma, Leah, Jake, Ava, soon to be great grandchild Mason; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
