Laura Yvonne (nee Walker) Chapman, 85, of Glen Carbon, died on August 18, 2012 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.

She was born on June 29, 1927 in Chicago, Ill. to John M. and Laura Lee (nee
Edwards) Walker. She married Donald R. Chapman on November 25, 1947. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Chapman was a retired office manager. She was also owner and creative director for Vonnies Square Dance Clothes.

Survivors include a daughter, Patti Connor of Troy, Ill. and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura Lee and John Walker; husband, Donald R. Chapman; and son, Richard M. Chapman.

At her request cremation was held.
