Lawrence R. Behrends II

Lawrence "Larry" Ray Behrends II, 68, of Collinsville, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016, in
St. Louis. Larry was born in Granite City, Ill., on September 24, 1947, the son of the late Lawrence Ray and Opal nee Burnett, Behrends. He was also preceded by one sister Ramona West and one brother Charles Behrends.

Larry is survived by his companion Barbara Leezy of Collinsville, Ill. and her daughter Sunday Leezy and her son Jeffery Schardan of Collinsville, Ill. He is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Vennum and Rosita Tindall both of Fairview Heights, Ill.

Larry proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caseyville, Ill. For many years Larry was a licensed insurance agent. For 13 years he was the former owner of Affordable Auto Sales. He enjoyed working and restoring cars as a hobby. Also enjoyed traveling but he truly enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandson.

Visitation: Friends may call from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Monday October 17, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Services: Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 Monday, October 17, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Lewis officiating. Interment to follow immediately with full military honors at the Jefferson- Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo.
