Lawrence Scott "Scottie" Beard passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021, at the age of 54.

He was born on April 3, 1966, at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis.

Scott shared many passions throughout his lifetime, family, friends, and for the love of all St. Louis sports! He loved the Cardinals, but boy did those Blues really hold a special place in his heart!

Scott was a loving and devoted father who took pride in watching his children grow. He was best described as a warm Midwest summer breeze, warm and refreshing. The kind of breeze that forces you to close your eyes on a warm summer day and take in the world around you because you know that you are safe and that nothing can touch you.

Scottie was compassionate, thoughtful, and kind. He loved to get a laugh and would do just about anything to see others smile. He loved without reservation and was always quick to forgive. He was the kind of man that many aspire to be.

His life was a living example of what our world needs more of today; compassion, relentless love for one another and an idealistic belief that we should never underestimate the power of a smile.

Scottie was preceded in death by his father, Larry Beard

He is survived by his wife Connie Beard, his mother, Patricia Beard, his children, Lauren (Miles) St. John, Jacquelen Beard, and Madisen Beard, his step-children, Stanley Lampe and Christopher Latinette, his brother John Christopher "Chris" (Tricia) Beard, and his grandchildren, Dakota Beard and Lacey St. John.
