Leah Annet Szakielo, nee Truccano, 65, of Troy, Ill., born Aug. 4, 1947, in Highland, Ill., died at 4:50 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Szakielo liked to decorate, especially during holidays, go to the movies and spend time with her family. She loved music and was an avid hockey fan. Leah was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic Norman and Anita, nee LeBlanc, Truccano.

Surviving are her husband, Stephen Szakielo, whom she married on June 4, 1976; her daughter, Lauren Szakielo of Troy, Ill.; a sister, Leslie (John) Ban of Edwardsville, Ill.; and a brother, Norman (Angela) Truccano of Pocahontas, Ill.
