Leland G. Koblitz, 92, of Caseyville, Ill., born Jan. 25, 1921, in Caseyville, Ill., passed away at 3:27 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Mr. Koblitz was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Collinsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, nee Ramsey, Koblitz, whom he married on Aug. 2, 1941; parents, William and Julia, nee Goley, Koblitz; and a brother, Courtland Koblitz Sr., of Caseyville, Ill.

Surviving are his children, Patricia (Joe) Offutt of Collinsville, Ill., and Barry (Susan) Koblitz of Caseyville, Ill.; grandchildren, Ann Basola, Sarah (Shaun) Albright and Aimee (Chad) Forsythe; and great-grandson, Jackson Albright.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at St. John United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill., with Pastor Katie Jo Bielke officiating. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
