Lena Mae Chadwick, nee Douglas, 91, of Maryville, Ill., born December 1, 1919, in Dover, Tenn., passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at Eden Village in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Lena was a wonderful homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Spending time with her family was the joy of her life. She and Wilbur traveled extensively, they visited every state in North America, and also Canada and Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Wilbur, whom she married July 8, 1939, in Stewart County, Tenn., and who passed away in November, 2002; she was the loving daughter of the late William and Laura, nee Perigo, Doug-las; and her brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her daughters, Joyce (Randall) Chadwick-Andrews of Maryville, Ill., and B. Diane (Paul Lewelyn) Chadwick of Troy, Ill.; granddaughter Dianna (Kit) Andrews Gaither; grandsons Bret (Jennifer) Cassity, Justin (Catie) Cassity; great-grandson, Ean Cassity.
