Leon Anderson, 94 of Collinsville, IL passed away July 9, 2022 at Mercy Rehab & Care Center in Swansea, IL.

Leon was the son of  the late Henry & Bertha (Sykes) Anderson born October 14, 1927 in Tennessee Ridge, TN.

Survived by his daughter Kathy Anderson Foster; grandchildren; Stephanie Lazar, Mark Foster and Justin Foster.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Virginia Anderson.

Leon was a retired Computer System Analyst for Scott Air Force Base. He loved to write books, go to Flea Markets and do Community Service, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and the many friends that he had.

Visitation will be held at Herr Funeral Home, 501 West Main Street, Collinsville, on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m., to 1:30 p.m. Funeral service will start at 1:30 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating. Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
