Lillian Jean Lance, 87, of Granite City, Illinois passed away peacefully on January 20, 2024
surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Jesse and Jean (Trotts) Byrd on June 30,
1936 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Lillian married Emanuel "Mac" Lance on May 15, 1954 and to this union six children were born.
Lillian was a devoted wife and mother. She was a strong, kind woman who loved to read her
Bible and pray over us all. She was a model of hard work and used her talent of sewing to
bless others. A teacher at heart, she treated everyone with the kindness of who she was. Her
legacy of faith and family will live on in so many people.

Lillian was preceded in death by one brother Eddie Trotts and a daughter Linda Jean Lance.

Lillian is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Emauel "Mac" Lance, her brother Richard
Byrd, five children Alan Mac Lance, Rondel Sterling Lance, Paul David Lance, Micah Dion
Lance and Lorna Kay Redstone, eighteen (18) grandchildren and nineteen (19) great-grandchildren.

Lillian's legacy will live on in our hearts and minds and the joy in her smile never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life is to be held by the family at a later date.
