Lindsay Lee (Favre) Denton 1984 – 2023
Lindsay Lee (Favre) Denton, age 38, of Glen Carbon, IL, born September 3, 1984, in Maryville, IL, to Michael and Linda (Pirok) Favre, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She graduated from Mt. Olive High School in 2003 and attended SIU Carbondale for her college education. Lindsay spent many years seeing the world while never straying too far from home, her family and her family businesses, All Steel Products and Timber Lakes Golf Course in Staunton, IL.
Lindsay was special to many people. Her inner beauty and strength showed to anyone who met her. She cared deeply and loved her family and friends fiercely, showing them endless support and encouragement when she felt it would be of value to them. The impact she made in her short 38 years of life is tremendous and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael L. Favre.
Lindsay married the love of her life, James W. Denton, on June 2, 2018, in Charleston, SC. He and their two children, Devyn S. Denton and Dash J. Denton remain to carry on her memory. James, Devyn and Dash were the center of her world and her purpose in life. Some of their most precious memories made as a family include multiple trips to Disney World, Florida (30A) and Hilton Head, SC.
Other family members left to carry on her memory are her mother, Linda Favre of Edwardsville, IL.; one brother, Brandon (Colleen) Favre of Edwardsville, IL; father and mother-in-law John (Sheryl) Denton of Troy, IL.; sisters and brothers-in-law; nephews and nieces. In addition, she is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Drive, Glen Carbon, IL. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at the same location. Burial in Staunton, IL to follow.
