Lloyd W. Hacke age 96 of Normal, IL, formerly of Granite City, IL, passed away at 2:30 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2012 in Normal, IL.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, IL. Private family graveside service at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Edwardsville, IL.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Advocate BroMenn Hospice.
Lloyd was born July 14, 1915 in Carlinville, IL, the son of Adolph A. and Anna Marie Schaiper Hacke. He married Ruth I. Sissons on July 17, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed away in 1996.
Surviving are: 2 Daughters, Donna Duran, California and Brenda (Dave) Duggan, Normal, IL; 2 Grandsons, Russ (Debbie) Downs, Arizona and Mike Duggan, Bloomington, IL; 2 Great Grandsons, Bryan Downs, California and Kevin Downs, Arizona; 2 Nieces, Darlene (Jerry) Elliott, Carlinville, IL, and Patricia (Tim) Simspson, St. Cloud, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Minnie Mae and Lucile, and 1 brother, Stanley.
Lloyd worked for the GM & O Rail Road for forty years.
