Lois Ann Staley , 75, died peacefully in her sleep the night of February 16, 2023. Lois was born on July 25, 1947, in Clinton, IL to Elmer and Thelma Utterback.

She was currently working as an administrator for a financial company where she had been for 12 years. Earlier in her career, she taught preschool and loved working with the children. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of O'Fallon, IL where she enjoyed her Sunday School group.  She loved traveling and had visited most of the 50 states, and even traveled abroad to Italy. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, and hosting friends at her house. Her biggest joy of all was spending time with her family.

Lois is survived by her three daughters Melissa Bennett (Darrell), Angela Holmes (Derek), and Valerie Walker (Jason); six grandchildren Danielle and Megan Holmes, Lauren and Amber Walker, Laura Gardner (Steven) and Greg Bennett (Annie); and five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jacob, Christopher, and Sydney Gardner and Natalie Bennett; two sisters Marjorie Yeast (Ron) and Juanita Hartford and a brother Russell Utterback (Jan); and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Thelma Utterback and brother Wayne Utterback (Shirley).

Visitation will be on February 24, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM with funeral services immediately following at 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church at 1111 US-50, O'Fallon, IL. A private burial service will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL. Memorials can be made to First Baptist Church, O'Fallon, IL.
