Lorraine Ruth McMahon, 92, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Born October 24, 1929 in Staunton, She was the daughter of the late Angelo and Christine (nee: Ratzell) Cordani. She married Donald Francis McMahon on November 23, 1950 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton.  He preceded her in death.

Prior to retirement, she was employed many years as a warranty administrator at Plaza Mercedes in Creve Coeur, Missouri.

She will be remembered for the love of her family, friends, and her church.  She was a long-time member of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville.

Lorraine is survived and will be greatly missed by her children; Mary Christine (Carol) McMahon of Glen Carbon, Illinois, Nancy (Ken) Emig of Foley, Alabama, James (Wendy) McMahon of Purvis, Mississippi, John McMahon of Pontoon Beach, Illinois, Kim (Dan) Miller of Lonedell, Missouri, Michael (Susan) McMahon of Collinsville,  Illinois and Tom (Toshia) McMahon of Smiths Grove, Kentucky; 13 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Two sisters; Gerri Polley of Springfield, Illinois and Nonnie DalPozzo of Staunton, Illinois, a sister-in-law; Kate Cordani of Staunton, Illinois and other extended family and many friends.

She was also preceded in death by a son; Donald James McMahon, a daughter-in-law; Lori McMahon, three brothers; Angelo, Albert and Mel and by a sister; Eileen.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia Street in Collinsville from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Father John Beveridge as the Celebrant.  Interment will follow at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the St. Theresa Tuition assistance fund at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic School.  Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville is in charge of arrangements.
