Lorraine Mae, nee Wright, Berg, 85, of Kirksville, Mo., formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born August 5, 1930, in Mondovi, Wi., went to be with our heavenly Father on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Berg, whom she married December 2, 1950 and spent 60 years with him. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Whitworth and Gena Wright and a sister, Bernice Parkhurst.

Surviving are her four children, Sandra (Daniel) Fischer, Constance (David) Barton, Mark (Cris) Berg and Matthew (Karen) Berg; eight grandchildren, Carrie Viviano, Aimee Brown, Jesse (Elena) Barton, Clinton Fischer, Alison (Tom) Underwood, Elizabeth (Luiz) Martinez, Amanda (Andrew) Petroff and Joseph Berg.

Lorraine was very active in her church, Holy Cross Lutheran. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday School for many years and was president of the Ladies Aid. She was a life long member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Collinsville VFW Post 5691 where she was past president and held many other offices in the post and at the District 12 Auxiliary level.

Lorraine loved spending time with her family.

Visitation: Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Herr Funeral Home at 501 W. Main, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 304 South Street, Collinsville, Ill., with Rev. Kyle Wright officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
