Louise E. Dixon-Cooper-Pearson, 94, of Maryville, IL, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2016, at Liberty Village, and is no longer suffering from Parkinson's Disease and Dementia.
She was born on November 7, 1921, the daughter of Ira and Nannie Dixon. She married Leonard E. Cooper (deceased 1956), and later married John "Jack" Pearson (deceased 1980). Louise was fortunate in having two wonderful husbands.
Louise had worked at Holiday Hospital in Orlando, FL. for many years, and after retiring she continued part-time work at Stone Hardware.
She had a full, happy life with her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, sewing, gardening and puzzling. Louise was most content just being close to her family and being with them every day of her life. Louise and her daughter Pat had a lifetime bond that went beyond a mother and daughter relationship.
Preceding her in death were her mother and father, and the following sisters and brothers: Clemmie Dixon, Bertha Coleman, Marshall Dixon, Irene Bracewell, Noah Dixon, Vesta Bracewell, Robbie Bracewell, Earlene Miller, Faye Underwood, and Wilbalene "Billy" Watts.
Surviving are her children; son, Leonard M. "Mick" (Clydene) Cooper, and daughter, Patricia E. Cooper; grandchildren, Stephen R. (Theresa) Carroll, Jr., Shannon M. (Dean) Cooper-Conley, and Michael J. (Barbie Woost, partner) Carroll; great-grandchildren, Madyson L. Carroll, Noah C. Carroll, Katelyn N. Carroll, Hunter M. Carroll, Keifer Conley, Carter Conley, Kelcie Conley; and a sister, Myrtle Herring of Dothan, Alabama.
Per her wishes, there will be no services and Louise will be cremated by Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, IL.
