Lucila Alonzo "Lucy" Manzano, 86, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 31, 1926, in Honduras died at 2:21 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

"Lucy" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and always remembered everyone's birthday. She and her companion "Juan" were often seen around downtown Collinsville. She was proud of all her kids and her son, Jose Jr., of being a Collinsville postal carrier for 26 years.

Mom we will always remember you from the Alonzo.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rene Alonzo Ruiz; and her parents, Jose and Irene, nee Alonzo, Valenzuela.

Surviving are her former husband, Jose Manzano Sr., children, Herman (Jeannie) Alonzo of St. Louis, Mo., Magda "Maggie" (Carl) Everitt of Collinsville, Ill., Jose (Dana Soss) Manzano Jr., of Collinsville, Ill., and Mona (Steve Roberts) Manzano of Collinsville, Ill.; companion, Juan Martinez of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Anthony Ostendorf, April Champ, Tina Champ, Thomas L. Champ III, Aymara "Mari" Rivero, Eric Manzano, Susana Ruiz, Herman (Dawn) Alonzo Jr. and Carlos Aonzo; and great-grandchildren, Jordon, Zachary and Cassidy Ostendorf, Logan Champ, Cortney M. Wilde, Ashley A.R. Wilde, Isaiha W. Ray, Nathan W. Ray, Brittany, Ian and Sophia Alonzo.

Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at the funeral home with Father John Beveridge officiating. Interment in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
