Lucille Field, nee Hanratty, 96, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born July 28, 1918, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away at 9:11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, Texas.
Lucille was a former member of St John United Church of Christ in Collinsville. She was past president of Collinsville Junior Service Club and served two years as president of the Illinois Federation of Junior Service Clubs. She was also a charter member of a small group of women who formed the Anderson Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered for 10 years and was president for two years. Lucille was also a member of the Friends of Collinsville Historical Museum.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Jules Field, whom she married on Oct. 22, 1939; and her parents, Albert and Frieda, nee Wamser, Hanratty.
Surviving are her son, Stephen (Carole) Field of Houston, Texas; two grandsons, Gabrielle Field of Austin, Texas and Michael Field of Austin, Texas; a granddaughter, Catherine (Wilfredo) Field Lainez of Houston, Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Emma Lainez of Houston, Texas.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Minear officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
