Luella M. Riester, nee Wilson, 92, of Caseyville, Ill., born Sept. 25, 1918, in Coulterville, Ill., died at 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.



Luella retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital as director of admissions after 25 years of service. She was past president of French Village Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and past member of St. Stephens Quilters.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Elbert Riester; her parents, Norman and Christina, nee Hineke, Wilson; a sister and two brothers; and companion, Phillip Ohlendorf.



Surviving are her children, Christina (Terry) Bell of Caseyville, Ill., David (Joanne) Riester of Cayucos, Calif., Tony (Sylvia) Riester of Collinsville, Ill., and Theresa Riester of Caseyville, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan (Sharon) Riester, Paul (LaShell) Riester, Curt (Stella) Riester, Donna (Michael) Rosbach, Angela (Jeff) Schaefer, Rebecca Lynch, Jason (Ganey) Wakefield, Eric (Kara) Wakefield, Teena (Gary) Hill, Tony (Kelly) Bell, and David (friend Alyssa Green) Bell; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Hill officiating. Burial will be at Caseyville Cemetery, Caseyville, Ill.
