Lynn Ellen Weissert, nee McElligott, 58, of Edwardsville, Ill., born Aug. 13, 1954, in East St. Louis, Ill., died at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Weissert was a lovely lady who enjoyed working in her garden, taking long bike rides and caring for animals. Most important to her were family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott McElligott.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph Weissert of Edwardsville, Ill., whom she married on Nov. 16, 1973; children, Brian (Lindsay) Weissert of Santa Monica, Calif., and Colleen Weissert of Edwardsville, Ill.; parents, Francis and Nancy, nee Sentiff, McElligott of Collinsville, Ill.; brother, Tim (Pam) McElligott of Fenton, Mo.; sister-in-law, Susan McElligott of Riverview, Fla.; brother-in-law, Rick (Debbie) Galloway of Maryville, Ill.; and niece, Devyn McElligott of Riverview, Fla.
