Madeline Kalina
October 31, 1921 - March 26, 2024
Wow - Our Mom and Nana, Madeline, lived to be 102, but she died on Tuesday, March 26th.
She was preceded in death by her parents John & Marie Franzi, her husband Earl Kalina in 1992, and her son-in-law Robert McCauley in 2022.
Madeline is survived by her daughters Kathleen (David) Austin of Collinsville and Sandra McCauley of Kernersville, NC, son David (Amber) Kalina of Omaha, NE, grandchildren Ginger Austin (Kim Hohman) of St Louis, MO, David (Stephanie) Austin II of Cypress, TX, Jeremy Kalina of Omaha, NE, Lisa (Brandon) Musten of Kernersville, NC, and Ann McCauley of Toledo, OH, great-grandchildren Lindsay Musten of Kernersville, NC, James Musten of Kernersville, NC, and Richard Austin of Cypress, TX.
Madeline was a talented seamstress. If anyone recalls the Old Main Street in Collinsville, she did sewing alterations in her home for: The Lolly Pop Shop, Kiddie Korner, Imber's Men's Wear, The Mary Ann Shop and Ann VanDyke's Store. Madeline loved all of her dogs she had over the years. She enjoyed gardening and watching her outdoor birds. Her gardening skills awarded her the Collinsville "Yard of the Month" in July 1998. She was born in Collinsville and lived there her entire life. Our Mom & Nana will always be in our hearts and memories.
There will be no visitation. A private funeral service & burial in the Catholic cemetery, as she was a life-long member of Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. Service arrangements by Herr Funeral Home.
