Margaret Knatat, nee Cheli, 97, of Fairview Heights, Ill., born Feb. 1, 1915, in Virden, Ill., died at 4:19 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, in Caseyville, Ill.

Mrs. Knatat was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Knatat, whom she married on Nov. 14, 1933; parents, Pietro and Theresa Cheli; and a brother, Muttzeni "Mutt" Chelli.

Surviving Margaret are her son, Jerry (Marge) Knatat of Fairview Heights, Ill.; grandchildren, Randall Knatat and Michael (Susie) Knatat; step grandchildren, Tonja Nutman and Victoria Burns; great-grandchildren, Ryan Knatat and Alexus Knatat; and step great-grandchildren, Jessie Foster, Heidi Foster, Tyler Burns, Christian Burns and Whitney Burns; and a sister Marcella Sherman of Caseyville, Ill.
