Margaret B. Hampton, nee Story, 82, of Glen Carbon, Ill., born Oct. 29, 1928, in Madison, Ill., died at 8:44 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.



Mrs. Hampton was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hampton; three sons, Alan J. Hampton, Dennis Hampton and John R. Hampton; and her parents, Joseph and Charlotte, nee LeClair, Hampton.



Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Bruce (Brenda Miller) Hampton, Catherine Burden, and Eugene Hampton, all of Glen Carbon, Ill.; grandchildren, Shawn, Jody, Chad, Terri, Leslie, Natalie, Amy and Wade; 13 great-grandchildren; abd two great-great-grandchildren.
